A Local Commitment

As development of the Livwell Community Center continues to progress, I want you to know that are making a commitment to our local community and economy. I can’t tell you how appreciative that I am for the community support that our project has already received in my first year on the job. It is difficult for me to get through a shopping trip at Wegmans without someone stopping me to ask about the project and how they can help. We have received unsolicited project donations. Local and state leadership continue to work with us to identify funding sources to further project initiatives. What I’m truly looking forward to is for our organization to have opportunity to GIVE LOCAL.

For us, giving local means getting creative to deliver recreational sports programming while our facility is in development (Sport Programs). Giving local means supporting local business when purchasing goods and services for our facility and programs. Giving local means finding creative ways to work with county leadership to make our recreational center and its programs inclusive and accessible.

I’m very fortunate to lead an organization that understands that impact that sport and recreation can have on a community. I truly believe that we will continue to pleasantly surprise you with the different ways we are able to give to Livingston County, NY.
